HOW DOES THE SYSTEM WORK?

Physio In Schools holds an endorsed provider contract with ACC. Once someone books with us, we email them (or their caregiver) an ACC form. When that form is completed, we will be able to provide treatment without an additional surcharge to the student or staff member. All bookings are managed through our software, and all communications with ACC, referrers, and parents are handled by our management team

WHAT BENEFITS DOES MY SCHOOL GET?

Over the years, we have been able to focus in on the direct benefits to a school. These included

Strapping and sideline injury management sessions for coaches, staff, and students

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Physio In Schools takes financial responsibility to ensure the premise meets our compliance standards. From here, ACC funds all accident related treatment costs. On the occasion that ACC treatment is not approved or applicable, a small private fee may be charged, however, we would seek parental or guardian permission first.
Aside from this, there may be some costs associated with tape usage, and products sold.

WHAT DOES MY SCHOOL NEED TO PROVIDE?

All equipment required for delivering treatments is provided by Physio In Schools. A suitable space is the biggest request, but the location on site is not as important. We have worked in conjunction with school health centers, sports and PE departments, administration teams, or in isolation. In addition, having internet access makes things easier, and providing an opportunity for us to promote the service in the school is also helpful

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU HAVE?

All Physio In Schools physiotherapists have a minimum Bachelors of Health Science degree (or recognised and ratified international equivalent).
In addition, and in line with the Vulnerable Children's Act (2017) all our physiotherapists complete Police Vetting processes and are registered with our professional board

HOW LONG ARE TREATMENT SESSIONS?

We work with schools to provide the best solution for your requirements. Typically we would run session between 15 - 20 minutes. This ensures that students aren't missing entire periods of class, and will be out and back before the class finishes
